Now we’re getting somewhere. This was a bit bubbly and grainy, but it took a CZ. The firing pan’s lid looks like a potato chip. I flattened it out and now things seem to fire better.

Damn, another misfire evil eye. Evil wins again. I tried to make it lighter and thinner. I’ll have to figure out what’s wrong with the kiln.

Ring-A-Day: Five Gypsy CZs.
Started by setting five 1.5mm CZs, but the metal below the center CZ was still powder (it didn’t sinter properly). Luckily, drilling out to 3mm for a bigger stone seemed to fix the problem. I’m starting to have fun making gypsy set stones. Haven’t broken one yet (hurray!). Just ordered two kinds of silver clay. Stay tuned.
