You’ll need more fingers to finish out the phrase: I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream, but here it is in pewter. The vulcanized popsicle sticks are turning out to be an interesting method of making texture.

Vulcanized another popsicle stick today after stamping it with my letter stamps. The type and the stick shrank, effectively giving me another font to work with!

I vulcanized a popsicle stick in organic rubber, then cast pewter in the cavity. The stick came out of the mold thinner, like a coffee stir. The wood grain was more dramatic. I’m definitely going to experiment further since I have many popsicle sticks left.
Vulcanization involves 350°F and about 50 tons of hydraulic pressure. It stinks like a tire store, too.
