Ring-A-Day: Fisherman’s Ring

Fisherman's resin ring

I found a pair of hooks in the ocean, luckily not with my feet. They’re safely embedded in resin now. Some other fun shore finds are encased with them.

Ring-A-Day: Crabby Seascape Ring

Crab and shark's teeth resin ring

Crabby ring with starfish and shark teeth. Found this little guy washed up on shore. The birds hadn’t eaten him yet. Like some snakes, they might not eat dead things. You can see his belly from the shank side.

Ring-A-Day: Illustrated Nerite Ring

Illustrated Nerite Ring

These Nerite shells appear to have been drawn on with a pen or like scrimshaw work. Every one is uniquely covered in doodles.

Ring-A-Day: Pink Umbonium Seashell Ring

Pink Umbonium resin ring

Umbonium shells are tiny gems from the sea. I arranged them from large to small in concentric rings. When I poured the resin on, the tiny shells began to float. Next time, I’ll lay down a thin layer first.

Ring-A-Day: Zebra Nerite Ring

Zebra Nerite Resin Ring

Zebra Nerite shells in clear acrylic resin. Also known as tiger snails, I guess we could call this the escargot ring. I’ll send a side of butter with it.
