Wanted to try this style of wood bending at ring scale. It worked! I used 32nd inch plywood on a 65mm rectangle and hashed it with 1/3 width cuts. I might try molding the design and casting it in metal.

I made a few more Periodic rings today. Soon I’ll have the whole periodic set. This is actually a phonetic spelling of how my family pronounces the word.

What do you think? American Voices is one of my favorite columns in the onion. Back when I received a printed subscription, there used to be 6 Voices. We would guess who was going to be the Systems Analyst this week.
I only wish I kept my printed copy of Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over. One fan went so far as to hyperlink the prescient, albeit, tongue-in-cheek article with actual events.
