Wifie gave me an old sterling necklace and suggested that I melt it down for the Ring-A-Day project. Voila! Size 5.5. The chain shrinks and wiggles like a worm while it’s melting.

Some folks see an astrological ring of Cancer the crab. Others see a mood ring. Still others see their favorite time of year — beer, hushpuppies, that little mallet, newspaper spread all around, and Old Bay Seasoning burning in every cut from the crab shells. Yum!

Ring-A-Day: Letter A Bezel
Tried to make a bezel in the shape of a letter today. There are so many bubbles that it looks like I boiled the acrylic. At least today the inner part separated, so I have a Letter A ring instead. I’ll get this right yet.

Ring-A-Day: Flower Bezel Ring
Tried to laser cut a flower bezel but ended up fusing the acrylic together. The bubbly edge effect isn’t terrible, but not what I was aiming to achieve. Will try again with different settings. Stay tuned.
