Ring-A-Day: Organic Carved Silver Band
Started with a thicker band today and carved away more than yesterday’s Cruel Ring. I also added a ridge to soften the ring a bit. The inside of the band was reduced and rounded by carving into the cylindrical geometry as well. Over all, a more organic design.

Ring-A-Day: Cruel Ring in Sterling Silver
This ring is the opposite of smooth and round. I named it after Steve Martin’s comedy album, Cruel Shoes. A quick Google images search reveals that the shoe idea is still going strong. Maybe Cruel Rings will catch on too.

Ring-A-Day: Hammered Sterling Loops
Hammering and forging can be so soothing sometimes. Bill Fretz has a whole series of hollow rings that you make with a hammer. My neighbors might not like this technique, but my frustrations sometimes do.

Ring-A-Day: Hammered Sterling Stack of Rings
My caster didn’t finish today’s piece so at 5pm I had to scramble a bit. I had some sterling wire and fashioned some hammered rings. These are always fun as bracelets, but I’ve discovered they’re quite nice as rings too.
