My favorite subway accordionist, Melissa Elledge, has an anchor tattooed on her right arm. It’s simple, retro and adorable. This homage is much less permanent for those who want an anchor today, but maybe a fleur de lis tomorrow.

Ring-A-Day: Foam Aluminum Ring
Inventables.com sent me a box full of cool stuff today. There was a bunch of super cool acrylic for laser cutting into rings that you’ll see soon. At the bottom was a piece of foam aluminum. I went straight to work cutting, filing, and buffing a piece to see what it would look like. I think I may pour clear resin over the ring to fill the voids with some translucent colors stirred in. This stuff is amazing.
