I have a friend who has one of those names that will never be mass-produced on merchandise. His name is Wali. He used to wear one of the ’70s name buckles, but lost it when he moved from New York to London. My name was seldom on things at tourist traps and truck stops, so I understand how he feels. I found one of those name buckles on eBay and corrected the spelling with just a bit of metal smithing.
