I squeezed really hard on the syringe, and then suddenly clay was everywhere. I picked it up and fastened it to the mandrel to dry. This is the result.

Got impatient with my first metal clay ring and pulled it out of the carbon at 1,300°F. It was a beautiful glowing orange. Needless to say, the copper oxidized instantly marking the surface with firescale. Other than that, it sintered properly and mostly held its shape. More metal clay to come.
