Ring-A-Day: Safety Last Ring
I was having lunch when I saw an old clock across the street and thought of Harold Lloyd‘s amazing stunts in Safety Last. I had a piece of aluminum foil, and went to work on that after finishing my sandwich. If you’d like to learn how to make a foil guy, check yesterday’s blog post for instructions.

Ring-A-Day: Running Man Ring
Anyone who’s had lunch with me when there’s aluminum foil involved has probably seen me make one of these guys. I made my first zoetrope with these foil figures, which Blue Man Group licensed for their shows in Las Vegas, Japan, and several other venues. Below is the diagram for making your own foil fellow. Make a W, squish the middle, and then sculpt accordingly.

Ring-A-Day: Wood Skull Ring
This skull is based* on a skeleton from Thingiverse.com. I loved the way the spine poked through the nose to hold the head onto the body. I used that idea to join the shank to the face.
*As with all things that are “based on a true story,” this doesn’t look much like the original.
