Ring-A-Day: 100th Ring!
Today’s ring is the 100th ring in the series! I wanted a wax seal kind of ring. What I ended up with was a rubber stamp signet ring, since we don’t often have a sealing wax candle handy in these modern times. I cut a perfect rubber stamp on the first try — except that it was backwards. FYI all you G-men from the Treasury Department: the cut is 125% larger so I don’t get in trouble with you, and the original scan came from the interwebs.

Ring-A-Day: Conch Ring
Sea Sells She Shells by the See Shore. Well, that’s how it usually comes out of my mouth anyway. Tiny conch shells arranged in a laser-cut acrylic bezel with doming resin. I’m starting to love this stuff. Today it was a bit warmer so the resin set pretty quickly.

More experiments with doming resin. It’s not quite like cutting a lens, but if you get it right, the warp and magnification effect is great. This was a bill fragment that washed up on the beach. I don’t normally cut up my money.
