Have a pill box of sprues from all my castings. Took a bunch of them and balled them up with the torch. Made four giant jump rings and hammered them out. Added the balls between the rings and here it is.

I made a femur ring almost a year ago. Now that I’m experimenting with stones, it only seemed like a perfect shank for a setting. This 8×10 CZ sits nicely between a twisted hip bone, don’t you think?

Wifie asked for a ring based on silver European shank from January 9th for a special anniversary — her 35th birthday (or somewhere around there. Who’s counting?) Five sparkly stars for her finger.

Carved a little sterling seat for this interesting cabochon of rutile quartz. I’m starting to see rings as elaborate packaging for rocks.

Attempted to laser etch my logo onto a silver signet ring. There is a faint outline on the ring, but not enough to see in every light. I used CerMark to make a nice dark etch, but it didn’t show up. The manufacturer says that it works on brass, so maybe I’ll try that.
Cermark makes great laser-etched graphics on steel and aluminum like laptops. Polished sterling silver, not so much.
